This summer feels like a ticking clock.
The vision I have for the school year ahead requires a lot of work, but I don't want to spend the entire summer prepping for school.
Hence, once again the need for balance--something my passionate mind is not always good at.
Then again, we can plan all we want this summer, but once we meet the children we'll realize that the plans won't work as a new group of children always calls for a new lens, new ideas, and new response. No two classes are ever the same. It's that give and take of teachers and students that creates the wonderful synergy that is school.
Hence, time to whittle the list down to a few important projects, and make that time for the rest of my life this summer--we're fortunate to have that choice.
