I believe there may be an underlying thread of inequity to women and girls in schools. I think this may play out in salaries, promotions, and opportunities for extra positions and positive events. I may be incorrect about this, but it seems to me that educators at the elementary level which is predominantly female might not have the same opportunities, good schedules, and salary growth opportunities that teachers at other levels have. If this is true, I think it may be a women's rights issue and something to explore more.
