How often do we sit down and talk to each other about what's most important about teaching and learning. And when do those truly valuable priorities rise to the top of teaching/learning agendas by all stakeholders.
Too often we are wowed by activities that might look good on paper, but in reality are not the richest teaching and learning endeavors. Also we may spend time on matters that are less important than matters that really make a difference for individual and classes of students.
In the back of our minds as we teach, we have to continually ask ourselves the question, What really matters when it comes to teaching and learning well?
