Typically every day has a theme--a focus that threads the events and activities of the day together. Tomorrow our day will include a special author visit. It is always a welcome event when an author comes to visit and share her craft with us.
Since the schedule will be different than usual due to this special visit, we'll spend the remaining periods of the day catching up on personalized learning efforts related to math tech, reading, and other tasks that students have started, but not finished possibly including math problem solving, thank you notes for Donors Choose donors, a donation note for Room to Read, and other tasks determined by the students. Friday finds us with another special event.
Hence, the theme is about personalization tomorrow--personal learning paths, personal attention, and personal response. Onward.
