In the Minority

"Every effort for progress, for enlightenment, for science, for religious, political, and economic liberty, emanates from the minority, and not from the mass."

         - Emma Goldman, political activist

I'm often in the minority when it comes to school decisions and think.

I often think and teach differently than others. It's sometimes a lonely and daunting place to be.

I hold the belief that no one person has all the answers, and we can all benefit from each others' thoughts and opinions.

I also know that my minority opinions are not the result of light thinking or lack of commitment or care. Like most people, I think a lot about what I do.

I accept my minority position, and sometimes change when the arguments are convincing. Yet I never change just to be apart of the larger group.

We all fall somewhere when it comes to decisions, think, and ideas, and typically we fall at different places dependent upon the issue at hand.

What's important is that you represent your choices with honesty, good research, and good aim. Onward.
