Summer is a great time for educators to shore up areas of challenge and care for ourselves and loved ones in ways that matter.

I'm thinking deeply about this as I embark on the summer vacation today.

What will I do?

Professionally

• Professional reading, study, and research
• Union School at MTA Summer Conference (This conference has multiple free classes for all MTA members)
• National Board Jumpstart Academy Trainer Experience
• Grade-Level Collegial Meeting Days
• Final steps with regard to the October publishing date of Integrating SEL and Academic Learning
• Classroom Nuts and Bolts
• Re-draft local union protocols for fall review by union board and members. 

Many family members gathered for a Mt. Washington
hike and family get-together in Jackson, NH.

Personally

• Focus on health and energy
• Family reunions and celebrations
• Supporting family members' pursuits and activities
• House upkeep and improvement
