I reached out today to learn of systemwide vision and efforts to develop the math program. Essentially what rose to the top was the effort to integrate The Standards of Mathematical Practice more. Other areas that I thought might arise are clearly not on the agenda for the year ahead. This is good to know as I can align my summer study and work ahead in the direction expressed.
There's nothing worse than learning and studying information that others are not prioritizing or that are not embraced by your learning community as there's lots of time wasted with endeavor like that. You work hard, and then the learning is not utilized. Hence, I'll stick with the alignment expressed. Onward.
