Catch-Up Day

Today we had a homeroom catch-up day. Students cleaned out backpacks, desks, folders, and more. We reviewed protocols and discussed how to make our classroom a "home away from home" and a "learning lab." There was time to study our historical mentor, Frederick Douglass, and later Guy Peartree, gave a living history presentation of Douglass's life. Every now and then you need a catch-up day to help everyone get organized and back on track. That's what we did today and now we're all ready for more learning.
