Teaching/Learning Algorithms

This week my university math class focused on algorithms.

What is your algorithm for maximizing effect when working with students each day. I imagine that the algorithm has the following elements:
  • number of students
  • time-on-task
  • educator skill and qualification
  • student knowledge, concept, skill
  • available resources
  • environmental attributes
What else would you add? 

It's my guess that a good algorithm will reveal points where we are not maximizing and deepening our efforts best?

Who has the time?

How is the time used?

What can we do better?

These are questions for which a good algorithm might be used to right our directions? Yes? or No?
