When I analyzed my teaching last year, I felt that I didn't give enough repetition to solidify good routines. Now at the start of this year, I'm cognizant of that goal. As an educator who loves new ideas, innovation, and change, I have to remember that there is great value in establishing solid routines at the start of the year for young children. These routines build independence, confidence, and security. Then later, once the routines are established, you can deviate and build out from there. But for now, it's time to stay the routine course :)
