Classroom Organization Sets the Stage for Independence

Today as students worked on a math project, I realized that I needed to work a bit more on organization. They could find much of what they needed, but not everything.

Early next week, I'll find the time to label more drawers and fill them with the supplies that students typically use. I'll also make sure that I stick to the routine established for a while. The more the room is organized, the better students can learn and work with independence--an independence that leads to greater confidence and an ability to lead their learning.
