Creating Blogs and ePortfolios with Teacher Cadidates
Last night the teacher candidate class was a true teaching/learning workshop as students created blogs and website ePortfolios. I loved the way all the students helped one another with the creations. It was an awesome opportunity to engage these future teachers in this activity. It was especially wonderful because most of the students had not created a website or blog before. As I explained their blogs and websites are their virtual file cabinets, and much better than any old time file cabinet, they can easily update, enrich, modify, revise, and share these files. We also discussed the way that these files mirror who they are as future educators, and serve as a great resource when looking for a job, teaching a class, or applying for a grant.
