Nearing Summer's Finish Line

It's been a great summer. There were a lot of unknowns at the start of summer due to family changes, new endeavor, and scheduling. Yet with all that mystery, we patched together some terrific family events and lots of meaningful work too.

Now that the finish line is near, it's time to wrap up the summer work and prepare for the new school year, fall sports, and autumn family celebrations and events.

Letters have begun trickling in related to the school year. The information is providing me with some end-of-summer study. The first big goal and related research arrived yesterday. Basically the information challenged educators to teach all lessons in ways that develop social/emotional skills, concepts, and knowledge. The articles included are terrific, and soon I'll use that information to develop a lesson pattern for STEAM and math (my main teaching responsibilities) that incorporates the attributes of positive social/emotional teaching, learning, and practice.

More goals will be shared in a couple of weeks. In the meantime I'll shore up the family school year efforts and needs as well as continue to follow the 2015-2016 chart to ready for a terrific teaching and learning year.
