Math Journal: Four

We'll begin the year examining the numbers 0-12. What do you know about the number four?

As we examine the number 4, students will also be introduced to the grade-level standards related to numerical expressions. They will distinguish between expressions and equations during this study.

  • An integer is a number, positive or negative, with no fractional parts. 4 is an integer, but 4.25 or 4 ¼ is not.
  • A natural number is a whole number from 1 upwards. (Whole numbers are positive integers.)
