Professional Support and Collegiality

I looked over the system-wide rules and regulations this morning.

Bottom line, the system I work in, like all systems. expect professionalism at all times.

That's positive.

Lately in the news we have seen incidents where some professionals have not met professional expectations. The sad part of these situations is that colleagues didn't support them or help them in times of need. Had colleagues stepped in and supported each other, some of the troubling events may not have occurred.

As professionals, I believe it is our responsibility to explicitly support one another, and if needed perhaps we'll ask another colleague to assist in the process. As we know, the large majority of educators join the ranks to do their best for children and as a collaborative team we can work to support one another to build meaningful, fair, positive, and transparent teaching/learning communities.
