Yet Another Reorganization: STEAM Lab Continues to Emerge

The workman came in to say that I had to move the cardboard from the corner so he could do his work.

The timing wasn't too bad as tomorrow after school, I'll do one more reorganization. The marble mazes will be gone and the STEAM Center is ready once again for greater organization. Working with all of these materials has been challenging this year, challenging to get the right organization, process, and routine.

So tomorrow, I'll once again shift plastic containers, reorganize shelves, and move tables around to get the room ready for the multiple science projects to come between now and the end of the school year. In a sense, the room will be turned into a multipurpose science lab with some desks and chairs for traditional learning activities too.

As we meet our standards goals in math and check off one test after another, more room in the schedule opens up to meet the many science standards that await student exploration and investigation with a blended approach including videos, hands-on study, reading, writing, and more. This is a good way to end the year :)
