How does teaching and learning benefit from a focus on conversation--the give-and-take of ideas, experiences, and questions?
If a conversation starts with a question, do you follow up with reference to that question?
If a change begins with research, effort, or trial, do you note where the change had its roots?
Do you have a continuing dialogue with those you teach, lead, or learn with, or is your speak one-sided directives?
I want to think more about the value and strength of conversation as a vital medium in teaching/learning today.
I'm sure this thinking, in part, came from the powerful conversations I took part in at Educon 2. 6. Thanks to all those at the conference who were willing to lead and interact in these invigorating discussions.
