Massachusetts Science and Math Institute: Today's Learning

My colleagues and I will attend the Massachusetts Science and Math Institute today. I really like the work our state department of education is doing, and I look forward to this day of learning. Prior to any conference, I like to write down what I hope to do and learn.

Today, I'm looking forward to listening to The Commissioner of Elementary and Secondary Education speak. I'm also looking forward to hearing experts from WPI speak as well as the keynote speaker, John Urschel.

Further I plan to attend the fifth grade fraction workshops. At first, I thought I'd attend the workshops based on project based learning, but since I've studied that a Lot, I thought I'd spend the day going deep with regard to fraction instruction as I think about how I'll revise and strengthen that part of the fifth grade teaching/learning year.

I look forward to sharing my learning today via Twitter @maschoolsk12. I know it will be a good day of learning. Onward.
