These days during the last leg of the school year are especially busy.
Today students will begin with a bit of math tech, play practice, and recess. I'll spend some of that time at a teacher meeting related to students' reading program for next year.
Then students will use the parts of a plant as a metaphor for someone they love and care for, and they'll make a card using that metaphor. The cards will accompany a gift of a growing gladiola bulb that each students recently planted as part of the life science study.
Later students will complete the biography study section that's due today, and spend some time reading or completing more biography research.
The end of the day will find students practicing instruments, reading, and then creating water filters as part of a STEAM activity students researched and planned yesterday.
Finally we'll end the day with a wonderful recess and time for play. It's another good day ahead.
