Who Makes Curriculum Decisions?
Who makes the curriculum decisions in your educational organization, and how are those decisions made? Research today points to the need for collective teams of educators to work together to make decisions about teaching and learning. There's lots of research out there that points to the need for the people at the front line, students, parents, and educators, to have voice and choice over these decisions. Yet it remains in some places, that teachers, students, and family members are distanced from the decisions made. In my opinion, this results in less capacity and success. This is an issue I'm thinking about at this time.
