Many decry the candidate--they don't like her, why?
I think it's mostly based on public perception and long held prejudices rather than truth.
I've discussed this with people who read a lot and keep their eyes and ears on the pulse of today's politics, these are people who support the candidate with depth--they understand how she takes very unsexy, complicated, and important issues and works with them with detail, good intelligence, and positive intent to better our society for all.
This candidate's intelligence and experience is deep. Her ability to understand the complexity of our society is great. Yet, in some ways, her reputation is mired in old prejudices, others' inability to see the depth and detail she sees, and destructive media sound bites and images used by the president and others.
I want to learn more about this candidate. I want to understand her depth more. I want to be able to talk about her in ways that will help others to see her unrelenting sacrifice and commitment to the people. I will look for ways to do this.
