A couple of matters seemed to be rushed. I woke up thinking, we have to slow down, consider all the options, and then further the decision. Yet is there time or energy for that kind of work?
The end of the school year is typically not the best time to make big decisions. Instead, it's good to put those decisions on hold until educators are more rested and there's the luxury of good process and time. The end of the year does not allow that due to the multiple expectations and the need for intense coaching and care that occur in the final days of the school year.
Hence, I'll follow my own advice, and wait on those decisions for a bit until the busy end-of-year events, expectations, and tasks are complete.
