Putting the Finishing Touches on Showcase Portfolios

Students will work on their showcase portfolios today and Monday. I'll pass back a host of assignments, projects, and certificates. Students will have a chance to review their studies from the past. I'll suggest that after they have to time to relax a bit at the start of the summer, that they take the portfolio out, look through it, and think about who they are as a learner and who they'd like to be in sixth grade. In many ways these one-inch view binders become a yearbook of learning, a memory book to look back on and gain inspiration from as the students move forward with study and learning in the future.
