In Massachusetts, schools everywhere have "child study" teams. The team is a group of teachers that meet before school to troubleshoot teaching/learning challenges related to specific children. Our school team is led by a highly organized, thoughtful teacher-leader who makes sure she chooses a time and date where many can meet to figure out what's best for each child discussed. I like the kind of problem solving and share that happens at these meetings. Not only do we come up with ideas and plans to help a child, but we also learn more about teaching and learning from each other.
