It takes a while to come down from a busy week like this one, but here I am on a Friday night putting the finishing touches on the past week and looking ahead to the next.
Next week will find students reflecting on their Rube Goldberg-like machine project. To prepare for that I need to add all the short films to YouTube so they can take a look at their work in action. That will aid in their reflection process during science class.
In math, we'll practice the SRSD problem solving approach again and review lots of geometry with drawing, charts, and hands-on activities.
We'll continue our read aloud, Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper and catch up with math tech exercises and class community building activities. It will be a somewhat more routine week than last week's intense schedule of lots of new learning and challenge.
I'll use the week to focus on our class community, protocols, and routines since our sense of and commitment to a strong classroom community helps everyone to learn more, feel good, and succeed.
