Area and Perimeter: Design a Space

Students will have the option to design their space online using Google table like the example above or by hand using grid paper, pencils, and pens. 

This week's puppy playground problem has turned into next week's homework assignment which is to design a park, playground, or home. I know that students will enjoy this week-long assignment, and it will be a good chance to practice the concept of area and perimeter as well as calculating measurement stats.

There's so many resources, projects, and problems available with regard to this valuable skill. I particularly enjoyed sharing the clever video below with students as well.
