Audit Your Efforts

Where do you spend your time during the school day?

How much of this time is potent with regard to serving students well and leading them forward, and how much of this time is less potent and valuable with regard to serving students well?

This is an important questions as we add the finishing touches to our teaching learning schedule.

To do this well, we can ask ourselves the following questions:
  • How much time is spent on valuable service to children?
  • How much time is spent on good planning and prep?
  • How much time is spent on worthy, forward moving collaboration and teamwork both with colleagues, students, and the rest of the learning team: leaders, families, and community member?
  • How much time is spent in efforts that result in little positive progress or effort? How can we make changes in this area in order to gain more time for student service and care?
Schedules have been created, and now it's time to audit and refine to make the most of every teaching day.
