Make Time for Every Child

Godin's post, The squeaky wheel problem, hits home today as I think about the school year ahead.

It's easy to mostly focus on the children who are calling out, acting out, and seeking help all the time, but it's imperative that we give all children the time and attention they deserve.

I'm going to use checklists and routines this year that give everyone a fair chance to speak up, present, and have special privileges. I'm going to share the system with students so they know it's in place.

It's important that all of our children get to have voice and choice in the classroom, not just some.
