Pacing is a challenge in school.
If the lessons are too slow, students are dulled. Yet, if the lessons are too fast, students become anxious.
Keeping that just right pace is important, and "just right" differs from lesson to lesson, class to class, and school to school. Context matters.
As I read on a tweet recently, if "we read our students well," we'll be able to determine the pace that's best for the students and lessons we teach.
