Reading Mark Weston's post that matches so nicely with the 4th of July holiday today inspired the question, "What am I doing to make a significant difference in education?" Essentially, do my actions reflect my beliefs?
As I build a classroom program that reflects research and value, I find that I want to do more. I've been looking for the inspiration, leadership, and direction, and today I found some of that in Mark's words which have prompted me to find new paths of challenge and inspiration, paths that will help me to do more with regard to my education dreams and beliefs.
Rather than a quick road, I plan to take a slower, more thoughtful path toward this end. I have the time and will.
As you think ahead, what dreams and pursuits with regard to your professional career as an educator spur you forward. What directions entice and excite you to do a better job, learn more, and as a result, contribute with greater strength?
Sometimes a lot of struggle occurs because we haven't found the right path. I think Mark's post has set my sights in a renewed direction. Thanks Mark!
