Friday Musings: June 7, 2019

Students dressed in costume as they proudly portrayed 65 Global changemakers over an approximately 450 year-span from Shakespeare to Malala. There were politicians, athletes, scientists, businessmen and businesswomen, lawyers, artists, and more. Family members, teachers, and other students in the school took a gallery walk through time as they spoke with every global change maker. It was a wonderful event that continued a tradition which started many years ago.

The week also included a visit to the Middle School, visitors from the Middle School, finalizing the Global Changemakers fictional interviews, digital posters, portraits, costumes, and rehearsal, and today's rest of the day focus on read aloud, recess, the movie Jump In, and some great jump roping
too.

Next week will find students beginning their global cardboard challenge arcade/playspace projects, studying about changing bodies, writing letters, adding to a special book, cleaning out their drawers, and participating in Field Day. Teachers will be highly involved in every activity while also completing a bit of paperwork and engaging in meetings related to next year's plans.

It was a great week of learning, and it looks like next week will be much of the same. Onward.
