Math MCAS Online Practice Test
Students will take the online practice Math MCAS today as a group. We'll review the log-on directions, the many online tools, and the question types. As we review the information, we'll practice answering questions using good test taking strategy and math knowledge.
Visiting Illustrator and Author
We'll have the chance to meet an author/illustrator and listen to the story of how and why he does his work. I always look forward to this annual opportunity to learn more about what authors and illustrators do.
Time to Read
Students will read alone or with small groups. My small group will finish the story we've been reading and get ready for new groups after vacation.
Systemwide Cumulative Assessment Prep
I'll spend some time copying the system-wide cumulative assessment--a test that students will take after vacation, and a test that informs students' math placement for Middle School.
Biography Project Team Meeting
Teachers will meet to review important details related to the spring biography project.
Today's a fairly straightforward day--one that will help students to meet multiple learning/teaching expectations. Onward.
