Confusion?

At times we are confused. We may be confused about how an organization works, what people think/do, and what our role is in a particular situation. When confusion strikes, we have to decide what to do?

In some cases, confusion calls us to learn, find out more, and deconstruct the confusion. In other cases, we may decide that the confusion is okay--we may not have enough curiosity or interest in taking apart the topic, experience, or observation that confounds us.

Tonight as I watch a number of amazing PBS interviews of good people who have spent their lives learning and working for greater freedom and respect, I realize once again that the way we spend our time and the questions we pursue matter a lot and make us who we are and what we impact.

This consideration takes me away from some questions and turns me towards others. As I note time and again, the work at hand at school right now is positive, demanding, and worthy work--work that I am fully committed to. This is very positive.

At home, my advocacy work is calling me to read more, learn more, and reach for a number of dreams embedded within me--dreams that are strong, but less defined at this time.

There are other areas of confusion that I'm leaving by the wayside--issues that are difficult to understand, but less important at this time. Our energy is limited, so we have to make choices like this.
