My mantra during Trump times is that #wecandobetter
That's my mantra because I don't think we have to stay satisfied with a president who lies, manipulates with slick marketing, shames and blames hard working Americans, and mostly serves himself with decisions that elevate his power and pocketbook.
I believe that good leaders exist, and I believe that those good leaders represent hard work, solid experience, and a willingness to collaborate with experts at home and around the globe with good process to solve the big problems we face today with humanity, empathy, and care.
I believe that we don't have to stay satisfied with shortsighted, quick fix politicians like Trump and his #GOP cronies, and I believe that we have to look ahead, not back, to build a world that provides our children with good peaceful lives.
I believe #wecandobetter
Yet as I believe this, I also have to live this in my own life. I have to reach for better as a neighbor, mom, wife, family member, friend, and teacher. Reaching for better means taking the time to reflect, working together, doing the research and making the time to improve craft and effort continually.
This is a good call for all lives. Betterment when done well is energizing and it improves lives.
In this upcoming election, don't stay satisfied with Trumpian politicians who serve self, look back, and don't believe in betterment. Choose courageous, humane, bright leaders who are ready and willing to serve with a focus on betterment. That will help all of us.
