What you don't know is that many more in your position are quietly facing the same problem.
If you were to know of each others situation, then you could work together to solve the problem. As I watched a great leadership video last night, I was struck by the power of "Teaming Up."
Also when you work together, you share your stories and learn more about the problem or situation.
The more we reach out to ask questions, find out, share knowledge, and learn the details of situations together, the better work we're able to do. When we know and work together, we waste less time and move toward better solution.
This morning our faculty will work together on issues of equity and cultural proficiency for a few minutes. We may take a look at the Heath videos below as we think about doing better work. I am very interested in how my colleagues interpret these videos for the school setting and what promise the videos might hold for our good work for students. As I think about all of this, I am reminded of the acrostic many use for TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More.
