Rivers Day Exploration II Design

We'll use maps of the local rivers conservation
area to inform the study. 

The Drumlin Farm Education Director asked me how we can develop students' River Days experience from last year's study.

That was a good question and also a good opportunity to grow curriculum with depth and breadth.

I started by contacting the teaching/learning team for ideas.

Next, I'll use the unit learning template on the Design Learning website as a guide.

Once I collect the resources and complete the template, I'll contact local agencies, prepare materials, and share with colleagues.

It's a great opportunity to introduce students to their local habitat in an engaging, empowering, educational way.
