Round the clock

Our team has been working around the clock since April break. Since then we've proctored ten grade-level tests, facilitated a series of three STEAM projects, helped students conclude their climate change efforts, supported the fifth grade play, led and supported students' biography project reports, and taught many other less time-consuming, but just as important, lessons. We also completed transition documents and attended to other paperwork expectations. What kept us rolling along was the program--we had carefully crafted a student-centered program and we wanted it to be a successful, happy, and fulfilling experience for children.

Tonight I was about to add one more worthy event to the list, but my energy ran out--I'm ready for a well-deserved break this weekend. Then I'll pick up where I left off next Monday. Though we might want to do it all, we simply can't. We have to continually prioritize about what we can do and what we can do that has true meaning and depth. That's a challenge, but a positive challenge to face. Onward.
