I noted that I think we can be more strategic with some specific teaching/learning events, yet I'm not sure exactly what they will translate too. Thoughtfully, colleagues suggested an avenue for that kind of strategy, a way to discuss and then act on ideas related to greater strategy. Everyone at the table spoke with honesty, good ideas, reminders of work well done, and a willingness to reach for more.
Now my task is to think about the strategies we might employ, and to listen to strategies that colleagues have to offer. I feel fortunate to work with a team that's willing to entertain honest conversation like this. I am looking forward to where this conversation might take us and our students too.
