"We are not makers of history. We are made by history." - Martin Luther King, Jr.
Today the students, some parents, and I will take a walk through Boston as we hear stories from the past by a talented storyteller. The key here is to listen to these wonderful stories as we observe multiple historic sites and signage.
It would be nice to take a few minutes to discuss the quote at the top of the page with students, but I expect that the excitement in the room will prevent that. However, I'll write the quote on the white board and give it a try. Then we'll review the day's directions and organizations.
At the end of the day, when we return we'll probably have some time for play and time to finish the life story of Walt Disney--a story that relates well to our biography study work.
